HOUSTON -- He's been an All-Star in both leagues, a batting champion, appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated and won a Gold Glove Award and a Silver Slugger Award. Now, Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is a cartoon character.

Altuve lent his voice and likeness to the Cartoon Network show "Uncle Grandpa," which will air at 11:15 a.m. CT on Saturday with an episode featuring Altuve, Tampa Bay pitcher Chris Archer, Baltimore outfielder Adam Jones, Boston pitcher David Price and New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard.

Altuve said last week he did the voiceover during Spring Training in Kissimmee, Fla., for an episode in which the big leaguers appear to help a group of youths fine-tune their baseball skills.

The 26-year-old Altuve is coming off the best season of his career and was named the team's Most Valuable Player by the Houston chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America. He's also expected to be in the hunt for the American League Most Valuable Player Award after leading the AL with a .338 batting average and the Majors with 216 hits, along with a career-high 24 homers, 96 RBIs and 30 steals.
